The Evangelism Ministry of P.P.P.
& W.C.C. functions in full accord with the God-given vision of
Pastor Douglas M. & Co-Pastor Felisa E. Carpenter for the purpose of
winning souls for the Kingdom and for the edification of this church.
Through prayer and the unction of the Holy Spirit the Evangelism
Ministry develops clear and concise methods to evangelize by seeking
God's will through His Word and using Biblically sound fundamental
resources. It is the charge of the Ministry
Leader to develop and implement plans and schedules to provide initial
and ongoing training and encouragement for church members to become
effective soul-winning witnesses for Christ Jesus to build and establish
an ongoing evangelistic ministry and spirit within the church. |

Someone with a heart attitude of concern for other peoples
eternal future; seeing people as Jesus sees them, as lost sheep living
in a harvest field that needs to be reaped. The soul
winner would then translate that heart of concern into action to reach
the lost. |
|
Some quick reasons why we should win souls.
2 Co 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to
himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of
reconciliation;
- We were saved to live for Christ.
2 Co 5:15 And that he died for all, that they which live should
not henceforth live unto themselves, but to him which died for them, and
rose again.
- We are ambassadors for Christ.
2 Co 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God
did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled
to God.
Luke 2:49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me?
wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?
- There is only a limited time to where folks can be saved. This
includes family members, friends, and other loved ones!
Jn 9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is
day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
- Will what your doing now matter for eternity?
2 Cr 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of
Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body,
according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
Prov 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a
tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.
- Soul winning brings rewards.
1 Th 2:19 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing?
Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?
1Th 2:20 For ye are our glory and joy.
Dan 12:3 And they that be wise (Prov 11:30) shall shine as the
brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as
the stars for ever and ever.
- To prove you are not ashamed.
Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is
the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew
first, and also to the Greek. |
- To prove that you
love the Lord.
Jn 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
- Because it is the answer to the cry of the human soul.
Ps 142:4 I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no
man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul.
- To give glory to the father.
Mt 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see
your good works, and glorify your father which is in heaven.
Jn 15:8 herein is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit;
so shall ye be my disciples.
- To be an answer to prayer.
Mt 9:38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will
send forth labourers into his harvest.
Lk 10:2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great,
but the labourers [are] few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest,
that he would send forth labourers into His harvest.
- So that the Lord's work is not in vain.
Mal 3:14 Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit
is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked
mournfully before the LORD of hosts?
- To demonstrate that you are following the Lord.
Mt 4:19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you
fishers of men.
- Leading someone to Christ is the highest good you can do for
anyone!
Jud 1:23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire;
hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
Ps 126:5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
Ps 126:6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed,
shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with
him. |

A soul winner should be a name used to describe every
born again Child of God as it is God’s will for every born again Child
of God to be one. However, that is not the case. Many
disregard God's command to share
the gospel causing not only themselves, but others to
pay the ultimate consequences of their neglect.
A soul winner is
one that ministers the gospel to others so that they might come to the
saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. This ministering can be done by
prayer, a living testimony, word of mouth, giving, preaching, the
reading and sharing of God’s Word, or whatever way the Holy Spirit
chooses to communicate the message of
the Saviour to the people of the world through you.
A
soul winner is not necessarily just the person that
successfully leads a person to Christ in prayer after witnessing.
A soul winner is a person that invites someone to Church, even
if that person never comes and makes a decision for Christ.
A
soul winner is a person that leaves a gospel tract in a fast food
restaurant's bathroom stall for someone
later to see.
A
soul winner is a child that gives thanks for his food in front of an
unsaved parent or loved one bringing conviction to that person's heart.
So many people confuse the name
"Soul winner" with someone that is like a "car salesmen type" person
trying to sell off the gospel onto unwilling or naïve people. Yes,
we have something to share with the world, something that cannot be
purchased; but only given freely by the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Yes, there are many unwilling and naïve people in this world that are
lost (as well as all other types of people) in need of a Saviour.
Soul winning is not so much salesmanship, but rather obedience
to God and having compassion on souls that have not yet heard the goods
news that Christ has PAID IT IN FULL on their behalf. If
they would only receive it to their account, an eternity spent in hell
can be avoided.

upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
· Rom
10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not
believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard?
and how shall they hear without a preacher?

HERE
ARE THE MAIN POINTS YOU WANT TO COVER WHEN SOUL WINNING
Help them to realize
they are a sinner. They must see that they are lost before they will
understand they have a need to be saved. This is very important, as the
next step is to show them their need to repent. |
|
· Explain
to them that repentance is turning away from their sin, having a change
of mind about it and a desire to be sorry and seek forgiveness from God
whom they have
sinned
against.
· Something
very important to share is that sin has a wage that must be paid. A
wage that they on their own cannot satisfy, as it is impossible.
· Once
they have come to recognize their need to repent and seek forgiveness
show them that God loved them while they were yet sinners, providing for
them a way to be cleansed from all their unrighteousness and ultimately
be saved from the consequences of their sins. An eternity spent apart
from God in a devil’s hell.
· Explain
to them who the Saviour is, what He has done on their behalf. This
would include Jesus introduced as the Son of God as well as God the Son,
His life, His ministry and His finished work on the cross as well as
His bodily resurrection.
· Explain
to them what this means, why it is so critical and how it applies to
our lives today.
· Finally
explain to them the good news of what Christ has done as being a "Free
Gift" and that it must simply be received by faith.
· Explain
to them that receiving this free gift would gain them salvation
(becoming born-again out of their sin nature receiving a new nature =
the nature of God) and eternal life, eternal life spent in Heaven.
· If
they are willing to receive Christ as Saviour, let them know you are
willing to help them as they go to God in prayer.
· Explain
to them that prayer is simply talking to God and that repeating words
does not save, it is the intent of their heart; they must mean what they
are praying.
· Ask
them if they would like you to, lead them in prayer.
· Once
they have prayed to receive Christ as Saviour, share with them
scripture to assure them that their salvation is secure and eternal.
· Answer
any questions they might have as the Holy Spirit gives you the words.
If possible, ALWAYS USE SCRIPTURE to speak for itself.
· Explain
to them that Bible reading is very important and helps them to grow as a
new believer.
|
· Explain
to them that they can pray and talk to God and by this they can gain a
close personal relationship with Him. Be sure to tell them that this is
what God desires as He loves them unconditionally.
· Offer to help them to
locate a new Chuirch home and explain to them why church membership is
so important to their spiritual growth. (Be sure they
understand that church membership does not "keep" them saved.)
· If
given a chance, explain to them why they should be scripturally baptized
in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Also explain
that baptism is to be done AFTER salvation, not before or for salvation.
· Perhaps
give them materials, a free KJV or other literature to take with them.
Ask them to share it with others after reading through it.
· Perhaps
make plans to get together again with them for follow-up or to help
with answering questions they may later have.
· Offer/provide follow-up assistance.
· If
given the chance, maybe ask them if they have other family members or
friends they know that you can be pointed to for the purpose of sharing
Christ with them.
· Thank
them and offer to pray for them & any needs they may have shared
with you while speaking with them. Let them know they can contact you
any time via email or other means you agree too.
· Add
this individual (whether they receive Christ as Saviour or not) to your
daily prayer list and be faithful in praying for them to grow in the
knowledge and wisdom of God.
· Praise
God for giving you the privilege of sharing Him with someone in need.
· Seek
help of a Pastor, Bible Study teacher, Soul winning Leader or fellow
believer if you need assistance in any way.

God's Word, The Holy Bible, Says
There are
2 kinds of people in this world....
Which are you?
John 3:18 He that believeth on him (The Lord Jesus Christ) is
not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because
he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God
1.
God
wants you to know that you need to be saved:
Rom. 3:23 For
all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Ps. 53:3
Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there
is none that doeth good, no, not one.
1
John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive
ourselves, and the truth is not in us
2.
God
wants you to know that you cannot save yourself:
Prov. 14:12
There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are
the ways of death.
James 2:10 For
whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is
guilty of all.
Galatians
2:16 By the works of the law shall no flesh be
justified.
3.
God
wants you to know that He has provided a way for your salvation:
II Peter 3:9 The
Lord is ..not willing that any should perish.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have EVERLASTING
LIFE.
Philippians 2:8 He
humbled Himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the
cross.
Isaiah 53:6 The
Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
2 Corinthians 5:21 For
He hath made Him to be sin for us, that we might be made the
righteousness of God in Him.
1 Peter 3:18 For
Christ also hath once suffered for sin, the just for the unjust, that He
might bring us to God.
Acts
4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for
there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we MUST
BE SAVED.
4.
God
wants you to know that you must receive this FREE GIFT by faith as
you repent of your sins:
Luke 13:3 I
tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
John 3:3
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee,
Except a man be born again (made alive again from your condemned state),
he cannot see the kingdom of God.
John 1:12 But
as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of
God, [even] to them that believe on his name:
Rom 9:9&10 That
if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe
in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be
saved. For with the heart man believeth unto
righteousness: and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. |
WILL YOU BE GOING? It's your decision. If you wish to receive Jesus Christ now as your
personal Lord & Saviour please speak to God in prayer and let Him
know you would like to receive His FREE GIFT of salvation and eternal
life. |

MODEL PRAYER OF SALVATION
Read Romans
10:8-15, John 3:16, 1 John 1:9, Acts 4:12
DEAR LORD JESUS, FORGIVE ME OF MY SINS. I take You at Your Word that You
forgive those who ask. I believe that You died for me and my sin, were
buried and rose on the third day, and now sit at the right hand of the
Father. I ask You and accept You to be my Lord and my Savior.
I give myself to You. Thank You for being
faithful, forgiving me of my sins and for saving me.
I have asked in faith and believe that You have
saved me. Lord help me and direct me in living
a life that pleases and
glorifies You. Thank You Lord for loving me enough to save me. Amen.
If
you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, let us know. |

HOW MEN
COME TO CHRIST
C.H. Spurgeon
No man can come to Me,
except the Father which hath sent Me draw him: and I will raise him up
at the last day"–John 6:44.
How
then does the Father draw men? Arminian preachers
generally say that God draws men by the preaching of the gospel. Very
true; the preaching of the gospel is the instrument of drawing men, but
there must be something more than this. Let me ask to
whom did Christ address these words? Why, to the people of
Capernaum; where He had often preached, where He had uttered mournfully
and plaintively the woes of the law and the invitations of the gospel. In
that city He had done many mighty works and worked many miracles. In
fact, such teaching and such miraculous attestation had He given them,
that He declared that Tyre and Sidon would have repented long ago in
sackcloth and ashes, if they had been blessed with such privileges.
Now,
if the preaching of Christ Himself did not avail to the enabling these
men to come to Christ, it cannot be possible that all that was intended
by the drawing of the Father was simply preaching. No,
brethren, you must note again, He does not say no man can come except
the minister draw him, but except the Father draw him. Now
there is such a thing as being drawn by the gospel, and drawn by the
minister, without being drawn by God. Clearly, it is a divine drawing
that is meant, a drawing by the Most High God – the First Person of the
most glorious Trinity sending out the Third Person the Holy Spirit, to
induce men to come to Christ.
Another
person turns around and says with a sneer, "Then do you think that
Christ drags men to Himself, seeing that they are unwilling?" I
remember meeting once with a man who said to me, "Sir, you preach
that Christ takes people by the hair of their heads and drags them to
Himself." I asked him whether he could refer to the date of the
sermon wherein I preached that extraordinary doctrine, for if he could, I
should be very much obliged. However, he could not. But
said I, while Christ does not drag people to Himself by the hair of
their heads, I believe that He draws them by the heart quite as
powerfully as your caricature would suggest. Mark that in
the Father's drawing there is no compulsion whatever; Christ never
compelled any man to come to Him against his will. If a man be unwilling
to be saved, Christ does not save him against his will.
How,
then, does the Holy Spirit draw him? Why, by making him willing. It is
true he does not use "moral suasion"; He knows a nearer method of
reaching the heart. He goes to the secret fountain of the
heart, and He knows how, by some mysterious operation, to turn the will
in an opposite direction, so that, as Ralph Erskine paradoxically puts
it, the man is saved "with full consent against his will", that
is, against his old will he is saved. But he is saved
with full consent, for he is made willing in the day of God's power. Do
not imagine that any man will go to heaven kicking and struggling all
the way against the hand that draws him. Do not conceive
that any man will be plunged in the bath of a Saviour's blood while he
is striving to run away from the Saviour. Oh, no. It is
quite true that first of all man is unwilling to be saved. When the Holy
Spirit hath put His influence into the heart, the test is fulfilled: "Draw
me and I will run after Thee" (Song 1:4). We follow on while he
draws us, glad to obey the voice which once we had despised. |
